I really enjoyed the IAA Romania Young Professionals workshop on comm strategy that took place yesterday, 12 March, in the evening. It was, how should I put it, an interesting experience, and this, for at least 2 reasons. Firstly, the topic of the discussion: "Strategy, marketing efficiency and the current state of the economy" promised alot, and secondly, the speakers: Calin Clej - Marketing Manager PepsiCo Romania, Stefan Chiritescu- Head of Planning Graffiti BBDO and Mihai Dragan – Manager MB Dragan, were the most qualified to debate on this subject. I had to consider three point's of view: client's, ad agency's and the one of the online interactive representative. Almost everything a young fellow should know nowadays.

In a nutshell, the topic was good, the speakers were the finest, but the delivery failed. It felt like they weren't prepared at all. 2 of them had presentations in english to back-up their words, but they presented in romanian (must have been recycled slides and presentations from other events). The online savvy had some offline games to enforce his keynotes, but he forgot to provide pencils and paper, so I had to be very imaginative and temper my patience.

My spoils of war from participating in this event are two questions to sleep on:

How would "the-life-after-the-financial-crisis" look like?
How would the client-agency relationship be after this budget cut and chop frenzy?

And my last thought. If you are a marcom professional and you have to deliver a presentation to an audience comprised of young aspiring professionals be sure not to follow The Director's path in preparing a presentation. One thing is for sure, I will never forget this piece of valuable advice.

Things you should know about your heart

If you are really interested in this subject, The Hidden Epidemic - Heart Disease In America is a really good documentary about heart failure.
Chapter six is about cholesterol and why is this "substance" a big threat to your heart health.

I'm not having a bad day

I don't encourage spamming and other unsolicited messages, but sometimes they are more than welcome. For example, I woke up with a bad headache this morning, I was late for work, in few words a not-so-joyful way to start a new day. But someone had planned to make my day surprisingly beautiful. I should thank them, but like I said, I don't get along with spammers. To see what I'm talking about, take the time to see the following video:

This video is a great inspiration for anyone feeling self-sufficient, self-doubtful etc. Life is beautiful, and everyone should live his/her life as he/she would always want to remember.

I'm feeling better already. Thank you Nick Vujicic! Thank you spammer!

Can you behave randomly?

I've started this blog with one purpose in my mind: to lay by all of my random thoughts and ideas about life, things that matter to me, to others and further on. I won't conceal the fact that the main trigger that gave me insight for this page was random.org. This site is a wonderful resource for anyone looking for randomness in numbers and not only.
Something that I do recommend is taking the "Can you behave randomly" exercise. For me was a delightful way to understand what randomness is all about.

(no title)

Random by default, this is what this blog is all about.

"Creativity is the ability to introduce order into the randomness of nature. "
